Hashtag First operates the WhatsApp API platform at wa.hashtagfirst.in. For our customers' end-customer data we act as a data processor on behalf of the business that uses our platform; for account and billing data we are the data controller.
Account data: name, business name, email, phone, password (stored hashed), billing details processed by Razorpay (we never store full card numbers).
Messaging data: WhatsApp messages, contacts and media exchanged through your connected number, template content, delivery statuses, and data you import (e.g. CSV files).
Technical data: IP address, device and log information needed for security and troubleshooting.
To provide and secure the Service, deliver messages through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, process payments, provide support, send service and billing notifications, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data.
With Meta (to deliver WhatsApp messages), Razorpay (payments), our hosting provider (Hostinger), email providers, and — only if you enable them — OpenAI (AI agent) and the integrations you connect (Shopify, WooCommerce, your webhooks). We may disclose data when required by law.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS, access tokens and API keys are stored encrypted, each workspace is isolated, and access is limited to authorised staff for support.
We keep data while your account is active. You can export or delete contacts and conversations at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@hashtagfirst.in; we delete it within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.
You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent, as provided under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Contact: hello@hashtagfirst.in.
If you connected via Facebook/Meta, you can remove our app from your Facebook Business settings at any time and request deletion of associated data by emailing hello@hashtagfirst.in with subject "Data deletion".
